The Rock of Cashel – also called St. Patrick's Rock – was the seat of the Kings of Munster until it was eventually handed over to the church after the Norman invasion. Today, the site consists of mostly ruins – but the ruins are super impressive."

In 1599 the Earl of Essex shattered its walls with cannon fire, an event explained with a large model. With a huge set of antlers pinned to its white walls, the Banqueting Hall is an impressive sight; you can also climb the Keep."
