Plan a Fun Family Break to Galway
"An earnest conversation takes place between Irish writer Oscar Wilde (1854–1900) and Estonian writer Eduard Vilde (1856–1933), sitting on a granite bench, in this bronze-cast statue by Estonian artist Tiiu..."

"If you’re in search of family friendly places to eat in Salthill, look no further than the Galleon Restaurant. When a restaurant has been owned by the same family for 3 generations, they’ve learned a thing or two along the way, and that’s how it is at The Galleon. The restaurant has been refurbished in recent times, but the family-friendly atmosphere has remained, making it one of several brilliant restaurants in Salthill for a family meal."
"However, when it is a stunner of a day, Galway is THE place to be. Notably, the Spanish Arch and Salthill, which come alive the moment a ray of sunshine hits Galway Bay. To take this list a little bit out of Galway City Centre, the Galleon Restaurant located in the heart of Salthill is an oldie but a goody."
"Vegan and vegetarian options are much more than an afterthought at Gather Restaurant, where the menu changes seasonally and features plenty of locally sourced, fresh vegetables. With gorgeous ingredients like chestnut, burrata, vanilla blackberries, roasted celeriac, crispy sage and hazelnuts, they’ve got a vision to create vegan and vegetarian food with a difference. If you want our advice, try their dreamy pumpkin and swiss chard lasagne – made with premium vegan cheeses and a whole lotta love."
"Okay, so, you might think this does not actually count, as KFC has always offered take-away and is a fast-food restaurant but my God they do the best fried chicken on the planet. I ordered a gluttonous amount of food from their Briarhill location recently and it was incredibly tasty and piping hot when I got it. If I am in the mood for something that is a little on the unhealthy side, but don’t feel like going the traditional route of Supermacs or McDonalds, KFC is always a fantastic option."

The iconic urban park is covered by 500,000 Irish trees of rich assortment, with an area of 120 acres where you can roam free. The catchphrase Green Lungs for the City is perfectly embodied in this park, with the presence of a wide variety of trees and canopies."
