This fun, suburban park features fascinating playgrounds, woodland paths, Gaelic soccer fields and pitches, and a lot of picnic areas for you, your friends, and family. Enjoy long walks with your pets, and have beautiful Irish sceneries captured on your phone in this serene and enticing park."
"If you are looking for free things to do in Galway for kids, then a visit to Cappagh Park won’t cost you a penny. This park features a playground, gardens, woodland path leading to Barna Woods (above), football pitches, and picnic areas. Address: Cappagh Rd, Galway"
"A post shared by Jenni Schanil (@jschanil) on Oct 16, 2017 at 3:44am PDT. The iconic urban park is covered by 500,000 Irish trees of rich assortment, with an area of 120 acres where you can roam free. The catchphrase Green Lungs for the City is perfectly embodied in this park, with the presence of a wide variety of trees and canopies."

"Updated in 2019, Millenium Children’s Park is a must if you are in Galway City with kids. The colourful playground has plenty of things to keep the kids occupied and the nearby skatepark is one of the best things to do in Galway with teenagers. Just remember their skateboards!"

"Near Athenry, you will find a forest walk to enjoy with your little explorers called the Carrabane Forest Walk. There is a looped trail that is composed of gravel (so not really buggy-friendly) that crosses streams and over bridges that kids and dogs will love. Take a picnic to enjoy, and if you are visiting in autumn, take a food container so the kids can do some blackberry picking."
"This Downtown Pan-Asian restaurant, situated on Mary street in the beautiful Spanish Arch area of Galway City boasts the cosy interior of ancient walls, done up in gilded metals and woven cane. The Asian Tea House pride themselves on their fresh and highly flavoursome cuisine which is sourced both locally and internationally and served to their diners in styles that originate in Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and China. Anything from the tasty Vietnamese Red Snapper to the mouth-watering Korean style wings, just to name but a few the hot dishes on their extensive menu to give spicy food lovers a kick and maybe in need of a glass of milk!"
"This appealing Pan Asian restaurant in Galway city centre is loosely based on the ancient Chinese Tea House concept (a café centred around tea drinking) and decorated with furnishings from Asia, Cambodia and Thailand. More sophisticated than mo ..."
"Decorated with rattan seats and bamboo lampshades, this stylish, low-lit restaurant serves well-executed pan-Asian dishes that range from Malaysian to Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese, including outstanding tom yum..."
"Is there anything better than a big, cheesy slice of pizza after a few drinks?. (Correct answer: no.) Pizza Napoli has the biggest, drippiest slices of pizza, hot out of the oven, in all variations: pepperoni, veg, the kind with white sauce… So whatever your drunk little self is feeling, you’ve got it. We think it’s a preemptive cure for Sunday hangovers."
"With a name like this, it’s no wonder it draws in the crowds. We all know that the best pizza comes from Napoli, and at this casual pizza restaurant in the heart of Galway, you can have a real Napoli experience. Great value for money and great flavours to match."

"If you’re in search of family friendly places to eat in Salthill, look no further than the Galleon Restaurant. When a restaurant has been owned by the same family for 3 generations, they’ve learned a thing or two along the way, and that’s how it is at The Galleon. The restaurant has been refurbished in recent times, but the family-friendly atmosphere has remained, making it one of several brilliant restaurants in Salthill for a family meal."
"However, when it is a stunner of a day, Galway is THE place to be. Notably, the Spanish Arch and Salthill, which come alive the moment a ray of sunshine hits Galway Bay. To take this list a little bit out of Galway City Centre, the Galleon Restaurant located in the heart of Salthill is an oldie but a goody."
