"Trading for over 30 years, this is the first dining option visitors encounter after disembarking from the train at Colbert Station. And what an option it is... Local man and Hollywood legend Richard Harris was partial to Luigi’s, and many decades later it remains busy and bustling with locals."

"A walk through history, the Cathedral is located in the quieter part of the city. As of present, the church has the tallest spiral in the whole of Ireland."
"The complete history of the human race from the Stone Age to the present day can be traced in the area surrounding Lough Gur in County Limerick. Don’t worry you needn’t be either a historian or an archaeologist to enjoy this 6,000-year-old site, for all the hard work has already been done for you and laid out in a fascinating interpretive centre for your perusal. Here you can listen to the mystical stories, view the Neolithic finds, savour Bronze and Iron Age household items and take look back at medieval life."
"Irish prehistory is always gripping, so you should be sure not to miss this archaeological site 20 kilometres south of Limerick. In hilly countryside, Lough Gur is a horseshoe lake with all sorts of megalithic remains on its banks. This pocket of land has been occupied by humans for more than 5,000 years, and has ring forts on the higher ground, traces of Stone Age houses, the Grange stone circle and three crannogs (Neolithic artificial islands)."
"If you’re driving then a place I would recommend going to near Limerick is Bunratty Village and Bunratty Castle & Folk Park. I actually visited here on a family holiday when I was about 11 and loved it!. I drove through the village on my way from Shannon to Limerick this time and it brought back so many memories. The buildings in the village are very typical Irish stone built buildings and many of them are home to B&B’s now if you need somewhere to stay nearby."
"Step back to medieval and Victorian times with a full-day admission ticket to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park near Shannon Town. Explore the 15th-century castle to see its rich furnishings, chambers and artworks, and wander through the folk park, a recreation of a 19th-century Irish village brought to life with costumed animators. See the replica cottages, shops, farmhouses, and Bunratty Walled Garden, and learn about traditional village life over a century ago."
"Just 15 Minutes from Hotel Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is a must on your itinerary. This is your chance to experience a window on Ireland’s past explore the 15th century Castle & Folk Park"
"My friend Anna and I stumbled across this gem one drizzly Sunday morning. Situated on the street’s corner, the shop had both indoor and outdoor seating to choose from, with windows overlooking a relatively calm section of the city filled with pretty pastel buildings to look at. Though it wasn’t very busy when we originally walked in, by the time we were ready to go it was steadily beginning to fill- something I took as a positive testament to the place."
"Located in the Glucksman Library Building, the Plaza Café is a great venue if you want a break from study to enjoy a coffee and snack. Hot food and sandwiches are available throughout the day."
"I present to you Carlton Coffee, a centrally located shop splashed in a bright orange color that practically dares you to not come in and take a look around. A smaller place, there’s lots of bar seating up against the tall windows to do some prime people watching, especially on busy Saturdays when the streets are filled with families all going to the milk market. What I especially liked about the place was how friendly the baristas were, and that there was some really good patio seating that Anna and I took advantage of after picking up our drinks."
