Romantic Restaurants In Dublin
"Not an area known for its cocktail bars, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the hidden gem that is Vintage Cocktail Club. Taking you on a journey into the dark and distance Prohibition Era, this Crown Alley bar offers that ‘wow’ factor at every turn. The exclusive, relaxed and welcoming vibe of the bar is a throwback to the golden age of speakeasies, aviators and silent movies, complimented by the fabulous vintage-chic 1920s themed drinks."
"We open at 5pm.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #VintageStyle #SpeakEasy #TempleBar... The Vintage Cocktail Club is truly appropriately named. In fact, those who have been here will be hard-pressed to answer which of the two brings crowds in the most: its award-winning cocktails or its vintage feel."
"If you’re serious cocktail drinkers, your hen party needs to go to the Vintage Cocktail Club, a 1920s speakeasy style gem which is right next to Temple Bar. The cocktails are unusual, creative and pretty darn good. Basically every cocktail is an adventure."
"Bunsen is the newest addition to the Wexford Street food trail and it promises authentic, American-style hamburgers with the perfect arrangement of beef, bun, cheese and toppings. Proprietor Tom Gleeson went through 12 different prototypes before settling on his current recipe and it's an excellent combination. Expect perfectly cooked Aberdeen Angus beef, oozy cheese, a soft bun and crunchy fried, all served on a classic red, plastic tray with a milkshake."
"Simple yet delicious, Bunsen is the only place to go if you’re craving a good burger. The menu in this Dublin restaurant couldn’t be more straight forward with hamburgers, hand-cut fries and a couple of drink choices. It’s so popular that you can now find them at a few locations across the city and around the country (they’ve even opened a location in Barcelona!)"
"Simplicity itself, Bunsen is straight up Irish beef burgers. Think fat, juicy meat between two squishy buns, with fresh toppings and a secret sauce. Choose a single or double patty, add chips and a drink and you’re golden."
"Angelina's is a canal-side romantic restaurant in Dublin with plenty of character, flavour and Italian-inspired charm. Tuck into a menu that includes everything from maple glazed pork belly with brunch, to creamed leek gnocchi and delicious sausage pizzas for dinner."
"Another great spot for outdoor dining is Angelina's in Percy Place, Dublin 4. Booking for the terrace has been in high demand so make sure to check availability and make a booking through OpenTable. View this post on Instagram"
"Why:Da Mimmo may be not be particularly central but it's well worth making the journey over to the North Strand simply to try the wonderful food on offer here. Although from the outside this cosy Italian might seem a little understated, the minimalist dining space provides the ideal ambience to enjoy dishes ranging from a wodge traditional hearty lasagne to wood-fired pizzas. This is also a particularly great spot for oenophiles thanks to the impressively long wine list that accompanies the food.Where: 148 North Strand Road, North Dock, D03 FK52"
"I’ve never been a fan of touristy Italian restaurants in Dublin (or anywhere else, for that matter). Which is why I try to opt for family-run restaurants located outside of tourist/office hotspots. This is why I’ve been returning to North Strand’s Da Mimmo time and time again (the food’s great too, of course!)."
"Da Mimmo is a family-run Italian restaurant,y renowned for its homemade wood fired pizzas, pasta, antipasti, delicious desserts and a wide range of fine Italian wines. If you want to savour authentic made-in-Italy cuisine, this is the right place to visit."
"Supermac's are like the Irish McDonald's but ten times better. They take time and care and have loads of restaurants all over Ireland."
"It may not have the weather, but Hanover Quay has Dublin’s answer to LA clean living with Nutbutter. The carefully curated eatery has a bright interior and colourful tiles, so you can sit in one of the swinging wicker baskets and forget about the rain. It attracts a young professional crowd, mainly because of its prime location in the tech hub known as Silicon Docks, but is surprisingly affordable."
"Located on Forbes St near the Docklands, Nutbutter is everything you want a place to eat in Dublin to be: affordable, beautifully designed, and serving the best Irish ingredients you can put on a plate. The interior is sure to excite with swinging chairs with pale pink furry cushions, geometric table designs, plants aplenty and rose gold cutlery. Oh, and a beaut mural of the swans on the canal."
"Flip, a vegan and vegetarian burger bar from the owners of Blazing Salads, is one of Dublin’s vegan hot spots. Their burgers, which include black bean and quinoa, millet and sweet potato, and a sweetcorn and feta fritter, are handmade using organic grains, pulses, vegetables and seeds. Don’t mind if we do!"
"It makes going for lunch easy and eliminates the humming and hawing of looking at a detailed menu, which is key when you only have an hour out of the office. Burger, chips, drink - sorted."
"You used to only have one option if you wanted to nab a Dublin Pizza Company pizza – you could pick one up from their hole-in-the-wall, and take it to a pub or back to your bed (both stellar options, if you ask us). Now they’ve opened a proper restaurant-style outpost in The Well, a cool co-working space by day and bar by night. Whatever you opt for, make sure you get a pot of the black garlic and truffle aioli for crust dipping – it’s a game-changer."
"City centerThe pizza scene in Dublin has exploded, and we’re almost spoiled for choice, but this is by far one of the best. Their signature DPC pizza is a dreamboat, with a charred, chewy base, creamy mozzarella from West Cork, whiskey-cured salami, and shavings of aged Coolea. Order a side of the black garlic and truffle mayo to dip your crust -- honestly, you’ll be licking it clean when you’re finished."
"Dublin Pizza Company is an Irish-Italian mash up of woodfire pizza with organic Irish toppings. Their DPC pizza is slathered in mozzarella from West Cork and whiskey-cured salami from Dingle. They also do a mean vegan option with roasted veg and pine nuts."
"Mexican food lovers in Dublin and Galway can still enjoy their favourite burrito this month with Tolteca’s Vegan Burrito/ Bowl - featuring all the usual suspects but none of the animal products. "Just south of Phoenix Park and drawing a largely local crowd, this smaller park is an equally pleasant alternative. Stroll past the hurling grounds for a riverside view of rowers in action on the Liffey, or continue to the memorial gardens, dedicated to the fallen Irish soldiers of the First World War. The elaborately-landscaped grounds are fittingly tranquil."
